The KRISHNAVENI DEGREE COLLEGE was started in 2005 with intake of just 50 students. The institute has been growing very rapidly both in quality and quantity with strength of 1774 in UG Programs and 86 in PG Programs in the curret acadamic year 2022-23. The college is affiliated to Achrya Ngarjuna University,Guntur. This College offers various combinations in Arts, Commerce and Sciences including Computer Science. KVDC is Situated in heart of Narsaropet. Over the years, the Institute crossed many milestones in university results and campus placements better than the engineering stream. Many of the major multinational companies rated the institution as the available source of the best cream of human resources. The Institute has very good infrastructure facilities for curricular, Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities. At present the total strength of the institution is 1860 in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year degree courses, supposed to be one of the highest student intake in the area.  A thumping 2300 number of students got placements in various MNCs in the last five academic years, a record in the region of affiliating university

Conduct the standard tests on the entry level students in the first week of their joining the institution. Assess competency levels and decide the course of action for remaining strategic objectives for all three years of study i.e. taking care of weak students after first year in core areas (keep a record of how many weak students are helped that belong to disadvantaged groups i.e. SC/ST/OBC or BC) or women.

Identify teachers willing to support weak students during extra hours of the institution.

Identify academically sound good scoring senior students from seventh to eighth semester students willing to accept teaching fellowships to support weak students during extra hours of the institution.

If Internet sources are not sufficient, engage individual teachers from outside the institution on part time basis or invite a group having expertise in supporting weak students. Through training provide input to identified faculty/senior students/ students on how to help students and motivate them to improve their performance.

Device a scheme to reward the teachers (Extra Remuneration) senior students (Teaching Fellowships) for  external support- individual or agency appropriate remuneration to be fixed

To identify and facilitate at least 7 Guest lectures, Organize 2 Interactive workshops,

2 Seminars, 1 Brain Storming Sessions, 1 Technical Discussions with participation of Industry, outside experts and eminent Personalities.

Conduct Industrial Training /Industrial visits to benefit at least students and faculty Invite at least ten professionals from the industry as visiting faculty in the Institution.

Organize Campus placement fairs to ensure increase 10% placement of students every year.  Conduct tracer study on pass out students to know progress.

IQAC was established on 15/06/2021 for   quality   improvement   and   for the accreditation process.

 

Mentoring system was introduced with a structured  format  in  the  year 2018. Mentoring system was introduced with around 20  students  per each faculty mentor; a proper mentor book is maintained  for  each  student.  All  the academic and personal information of all the students is updated in the mentor book fortnightly.

 

As per   the mentoring system counsellors were intimated the performance of wards to their parents.
